Teenage Drivers

Students are required to successfully complete 14 Behind the Wheel sessions - 7 sessions of driving and 7 sessions of observation. Depending on student's schedule and availablity, this is usually completed within 2-3 weeks.
 
 
The sessions are designed to expose the student to as many real life driving situations as possible.  Areas of focus include, but are not limited to:
  • Subdivisions
    • maintain proper speed
    • 2 & 3 point turns
    • right of ways
    • parking
  • Rural
    • 2 lane roads
    • back roads
    • gravel roads
    • Off Road Recovery
  • In Town
    • traffic
    • yield and stop signs
    • traffic lights
    • U turns
    • intersections
  • Highway
    • passing
    • lane changes
    • entering and exiting the highway
  • In all areas
    • maintain correct following distance
    • courteous driving skills
    • defensive driving skills
